Thanks to the hard work of over 700 participants and the generosity of more than 1,900 donors, Pink Vail met, and exceeded, our $125,000 fundraising goal! All proceeds benefit breast cancer programs and resources at Shaw Regional Cancer Center - a service of Vail Valley Medical Center, a nonprofit 501(c)(3). We are so grateful to everyone involved in this incredible effort and we're already looking forward to next year's event.

A RECAP OF THE EVENT

On Saturday, March 3, 2012, Vail Mountain was "pinkified" in celebration of Pink Vail and our united fight against breast cancer. Over 700 individual and team participants came out in some of the craziest costumes Vail has seen to ski, ride, and celebrate. Over 300 people participated in the Checkpoint Challenge, visiting five of Vail's famous decks to be entered into drawings for incredible prizes, including an Epic Pass, K2 skis, Helly Hanson jackets, and more. At 4:00 p.m., cancer survivors, family, friends, and those skiing in honor of a loved one met at Eagle's Nest to begin the "Celebration Ski Down" to The Arrabelle at Vail Square, where a crowd of supporters cheered them in. After awards and prizes were announced, participants enjoyed an après party and free concert by Gomez under the twinkle of pink lights and a gentle snowfall.
